We do not encourage you to click on an advertisement if you’re not sincerely interested in its content. No way. We do encourage you to consider the ads with sincere interest. Look at the banners, read text ads, hover over the in-text ads – if you find an ad that interests you, give it a click. Then, when you arrive at the advertiser’s website or landing page, respect the advertiser with attention: read, browse, click again. If it’s relevant, consider the offer, whether it’s a download, subscription or purchase.

As a website owner or a blogger, encouraging clicks is forbidden. Never ask you visitors to click on ads and never provide any incentives for clicking. On the short term, this may lead to advertisers or ad networks to stop working with you. You won’t notice it at first, but the quality of ads you get will decline and the payment per click will decrease. Eventually, your account with the advertiser will be suspended and you may even lose legitimate earnings.

Encouraging clicks on ads is also unethical and in the long term, such unintended clicks are very bad for the entire online community. When people, or even worse – automated robots, click on ads with zero chance that they will consider the advertiser’s offer, they reduce the effectiveness of online advertising. The advertisers are required to pay for more clicks until they get genuine interest and therefore the attractiveness of online advertising diminishes. The problem is that most of the free content on the web and, in fact, the existence of the Internet as it operates today, is financed through online advertising budgets. The more advertisers lose faith in online media, they will change the financial models of their budgets and this will no doubt limit free content on the web.

The Thank You Click Organization’s spirit is to avoid uninterested clicks at any cost! Say no to click incentives, never ask your visitors to click on your ads, and by all means, never pay for traffic that promises “1 million genuine clicks by real people” – simply, don’t pay for clicks.
